Welcome to the ONE LIFE Resource Centre
Living positively with HIV
Whether you’re looking to Get tested or Get care – wherever you’re at,
we’re here to help
Maybe you have just tested positive for HIV… want to get tested but are afraid…. or just want more information about HIV. Whatever your reason for finding us, the One Life Resource Centre is here to help you separate fact from fiction and direct you to useful HIV information, programs and resources.
What’s new on the site? Check out these 4 new videos that were developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals and HIV patients, and hopefully we can help you sort out your feelings, find your bearings and stake your place:
- People like us – a portrayal of 3 people with HIV and their own take on their journey of living with HIV.
- Walk this way – a quick-run through of an HIV clinic and what to expect.
- May cause side effects – separating myth from reality regarding side effects of treatment.
- HIV ain’t what it used to be – a look at HIV and aging.
For their hard and dedicated work, we wish to thank the following people who have contributed their time and valuable comments to the development of this website: René Légaré from COCQ-SIDA (Coalition des organismes communautaires Québécois de lutte contre le sida) for reviewing the French copy and Mark Fisher from OHTN (The Ontario HIV Treatment Network).
The views and comments expressed in these videos are the opinions of those specific individuals and do not reflect the opinions and positions of all individuals infected with HIV, all healthcare professionals or the One Life program. The information provided through One Life should not be used for diagnosing or treating a health problem or disease, and should not be used as a substitute for professional care. If you have or suspect you may have a health problem, consult your healthcare provider.
